FullSizeRenderFor Johnson University Tennessee, the upcoming weekend is packed with athletic events of all kind. These important athletic events rang from both on and off campus.

The Johnson Royals Volleyball and Soccer teams will be playing in regional tournaments hosted here at Johnson.

For both teams, the season is coming to an end. Both volleyball and soccer teams will be competing Friday and Saturday.

VOLLEYBALL

The volleyball games begin at 6 p.m. Friday with Crown College playing against Piedmont International University. Following that game at 8 p.m., the JU volleyball team will play against Alice Lloyd College.

At 10 a.m.  Saturday, the winner of the JU/ALC volleyball game plays KCU. At noon, the winner of the first game from Friday plays Appalachian Bible College. The winner of both the previous matches will compete at 2 p.m. for the championship title.

SOCCER

For the soccer teams, at 1 p.m. Friday KCU will be playing the winner from the previous game  Thursday. Then at 3:30 p.m. the JU men’s soccer team will be playing Boyce College.

Saturday at 1 p.m., the JU women’s soccer team will compete against KCU. At 3:30 p.m. the men’s soccer team will feature the winners of the Friday games in the championship round.

TENNIS

The tennis team has ended the season with some phenomenal achievements as well. There have been a total of three people nominated as NCCAA Student Athlete of the Week, including Benjamin Cutshall, Kaitlin Wirey and Dale Hathaway. The tennis team is off until the spring match at LaGrange College Feb. 13.
