KNOXVILLE— On Sunday, the Carolina Panthers will take on the Denver Broncos at Super Bowl 50 in Santa Clara, CA.
Johnson University’s Student Government Association has plans to keep students entertained that evening at its annual Super Bowl party in the Eubanks Activity Center.
In lieu of opening the cafeteria, Pioneer Caterers will begin the event by serving dinner in the EAC at 5:30 p.m. with SGA paying for all non-traditional students’ meals. The game will kick off at 6:30 p.m. and snacks will be available throughout the night.
Austin Dodd, Executive Director of Social Activites for the SGA, said the event gives students a chance to unwind and forget about the pressures around them.
“Our goal is just to try and engage the student body,” Dodd said, “where we can have community— where we can get together and just relax.”
The EAC will remain open for students to come and go until the game finishes.
