KNOXVILLE— On the JUTN campus, intramural spring sports are starting up for the year of 2016. Volleyball and soccer sign-ups are now available in both the girl’s and boy’s lobby and also outside of Ken Underwood’s office.
Sign-ups will be available all throughout this week.
Both intramural soccer and volleyball are available to all students.
In terms of intramural soccer, games will be played on Monday and Wednesday nights following the Week of Evangelism.
The number of teams for intramural soccer is still unknown.
“As of now I can tell you that there will be a championship game at the end of the [soccer] season. Players do not need to have any prior soccer experience, as the goal of the intramural program is to get as many students active as we possibly can,” Wade Statzer, organizer of intramural sports at Johnson, said.
For intramural volleyball, games will start on Tuesday and Thursday nights after the Week of Evangelism.
