KNOXVILLE- Over the weekend Johnson University’s Ultimate Frisbee Club team traveled to Cookeville, Tennessee to play in a tournament held by Tennessee Tech University.
The team played their first game out of seven against one of the current TTU teams, winning 10-7.
The Royals then played the TTU alumni team losing the game with a final score of 8-13.
On Sunday, the team played the second current TTU team and won 13-6.
Ross McSherry, senior co-captain of the Ultimate team and JUTN student, said that the Royals represented Johnson well.
“I think the team spirit was honestly the highlight,” he said. “Other teams saw it and commented about it after the games and that really helped us with spreading our mission.”

Senior Co-Captain and JUTN student, Blake West said the tournament went well overall.
“[We] really focused our mission this semester on spreading the Gospel first and playing frisbee second, which really showed in the teams we played,” he said.
At the Royals’ last game, TTU combined both of their current teams to play against JU.
Johnson won with a score of 13-5, placing them fifth out of 10 teams in the tournament.
