KNOXVILLE – The men’s basketball team took the win over Toccoa Falls by nearly 30 points in their home opener on Friday night.
Senior player Touré Fudge and the Royals offense stayed in the lead throughout the first half, scoring a total of 48 points. Toccoa Falls finished the first half with 22 points.
“All in all, what I’m most proud in is that we played phenomenal defense,” Royals’ Head Coach, Brandon Perry, said. “We played great defense, and we battled. I’m really proud of my guys.”
The team’s defensive skills on the court led them to their first win.
The student section was cheering on the Royals, dressed in costumes to spread Halloween spirit and support their team. The crowd went crazy with each point the Royals scored.
