Royals Soccer teams lost Mideast Regional Tournament on home turf

KNOXVILLE – The NCCAA DII Mideast Regional Soccer Tournament was held at Johnson University Tennessee, Nov. 8-9.

Johnson’s Royals and Lady Royals soccer teams competed in the regional tournament on Friday and Saturday.

In both the Royals’ and Lady Royals’ games, Boyce College gave Royals a fight but ultimately Johnson University won. They moved on to play Grace College on Saturday. 

Grace College took it to the Royals as the Lady Royals lost 7-0 and Men’s lost 4-0.

“[My] favorite moment of the season was on senior night when we won, and had the two seniors score our goals,” Josiah Gable, a freshman on the team, said. “In the future I’m looking forward to all of the young talent we have on the team and new players coming in.”
