KNOXVILLE – The Student Government Association is hosting a benefit dodgeball tournament on Jan. 27 at 6 p.m. in the ARC gym to raise money for freshman Abby Stuteville, who is in need of a kidney transplant.
Students and staff are encouraged to create their own dodgeball team of 6-8 people. There is a $2 entry fee per person to play.
The entry fee enters students’ and staff members’ names in a drawing to win door prizes. The winning team will receive a pizza party after the event.
Students and staff can sign up here.
Everyone is encouraged to come and watch the teams compete. There is a $2 admission fee, which enters attendees into a drawing to win door prizes.
A bake sale will also be held during the game.
All proceeds raised from this event will go to Abby Stuteville for all of her transplant-related costs.
She has still not found a kidney match. Anyone interested in becoming her donor must meet the following requirements:
1) Blood type O+
2) Must be within ages 18-50
3) Must be in good health (No history of cancer, diabetes, high blood pressure, etc…)
