KNOXVILLE – Johnson University’s Tennessee campus held its first of four weekly trivia nights, which included five rounds with a prize to the winning team, at the Athletic Recreation Center on Wednesday, October 28,
This was the first of many trivia nights to take place. There will be four different trivia nights each Wednesday between now and Thanksgiving break. Each team’s score will accumulate for the final score, where there will be a grand prize.
This week’s trivia night was held on October 28 and had a turnout of six different teams of four people each. Teams were challenged to answer five questions from each category, which included Johnson history, geography, science, and random facts.
Last week’s winning team was the Fantastic 4, which consisted of freshman Hannah Feller, sophomore Josiah Gable, sophomore Ethan Ridge, and sophomore Lydia Taylor. They had a total of 17 out of 25 points.
“The key to success is teamwork and picking the right people,” Taylor said.
New teams are welcome to join in the coming weeks of trivia. The more teams, the stronger the competition, and the better opportunity to build community.
“People should come, because it’s fun and creates bonding time with friends,” Feller said.
Next week’s trivia night will be a step up, as the questions will continue to get harder each round. Students are encouraged to come to grow in relationship with friends, as well as to win prizes and be in the running for the grand prize.
The final trivia winner will be announced after the last competition on November 18th.
